Project Demos
I independently conceived, designed, and developed this .NET/SQL SaaS web app in 2012.Ā It demonstrates a pattern that has followed me throughout my career: taking a complicated real-world information domain, identifying its underlying entities & relationships, and creating the structure and workflows that make that information intuitive and usable.
What to notice:
- Information model: actors, casting professionals, offices, events, locations, profiles, media assets, and related metadata.
- Relationships and workflows: users register for events, select specific assets, submit them to specific reviewers, receive structured evaluations, and move through defined lifecycle states.
- Role-based experiences: actors and industry professionals interact with the same underlying information through different interfaces and permissions.
- From structure to usability: the data modelĀ drives navigation, findability, transactions, status, feedback and the end-user experience
Why it Matters Now
The technology has changed enormously since 2012, but the underlying problem-solving pattern has not. My later work in technical education, enterprise automation, product comprehension and AI has continued to involve identifying canonical concepts, relationships, prerequisites, standards, and user needs so complex information can be structured, governed, understood and reliably retrieved.
